Kathy A. Chapman-Bakal, MAI, SRA
Senior Appraiser

Ms. Chapman-Bakal has over twenty-five years of appraisal experience including review and consulting. She has earned the Appraisal Institute's MAI membership designation, indicating an advanced level of expertise in the valuation of commercial properties. She also holds the Appraisal Institute’s SRA designation for residential properties. Ms. Chapman-Bakal also has experience preparing market analyses, and highest and best use analyses, as well as providing litigation support to attorneys.

Ms. Chapman-Bakal has written narrative appraisal reports for the valuation of a wide variety of commercial properties, including shopping centers, retail buildings, office buildings, senior housing, hotels & inns, restaurants, apartments, industrial, mixed-use developments, subdivision developments, and vacant land. In addition, she has extensive experience in due diligence on loan workouts, securitizations and portfolio valuation and management.

In addition to her experience in real estate valuation, she is also experienced in project management, and has managed teams globally. Past firms have included Credit Suisse, Deloitte & Touche, and Price Waterhouse.

Outside of work, she and her family are avid skiers and spend much of the winter on the slopes in Vermont. Passions include traveling, outdoor activities, and gardening.
